9月底,从未学过天文学的西班牙产品经理Pavel Rabtsevich在r/ClaudeAI发帖讲述一个行星候选,写道“I used Claude Code to find it(我是用Claude Code找到的)”,帖子获得5,995的得分和705条评论。
曾是Yale天文学家、现在在AI行业工作的Greg Laughlin对Scientific American表示,这件事是“a great example of human-AI teamwork(人与AI协作的绝佳例子)”。
Rabtsevich还找到一个每11.13天变暗一次的更弱信号,本人也写道:“The evidence for that one is much weaker(这个信号的证据要弱得多)”。
Rabtsevich写道:“I chose what questions to ask, what tests mattered, and what counted as pass/fail.(问什么、哪些测试重要、什么算通过或淘汰,由我来定)”结果则由Codex和一个只给了只读权限的新智能体会话分别审查。
名单原文是:“Pavel Rabtsevich | Two-minute cadence for TIC 4206066, a nearby K-dwarf with a 1.4R planet candidate(以2分钟间隔观测邻近的K型矮星TIC 4206066,行星候选半径为地球的1.4倍)”,批准一栏为“yes”。
“Important caveat: a faint neighbouring pair of eclipsing stars could fake the dip, so these exoplanets remain candidates pending further verification.”
“AI tools won't necessarily be helpful in the process of confirming planets, but [they] will likely continue to be used to string together publicly available code to help search for planets and run them through the basic vetting processes…”
